2014 International Skin Carcinogenesis Conference (ISCC)

The Skin Cancer Institute is proud to be co-hosting the International Skin Carcinogenesis Conference (ISCC), June 5-8, 2014 at the J.W. Marriot Pass in Tucson.

This is a biannual meeting that brings together scientists who are at the forefront of understanding the molecular basis for skin cancer development. This conference promotes the exchange of ideas by a diverse group of experts from around the world. The conference will feature the most recent and relevant advances in our understanding of the biological, cellular and molecular changes that occur during skin tumor development. There will be presentations covering squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma and melanoma.

One focus this year will be on frontiers of environmental exposures and skin photoprotection with sessions ranging from molecular to clinical to behavioral studies.  Also featured will be sessions centered around stem cell biology in skin cancer, skin cancer therapeutics, inflammatory responses and skin cancer, and genetic factors that influence skin cancer susceptibility. Many of the session chairs will be researchers from the University of Arizona.
