Dr. Alberts, MD, has had a strong career focus on translational cancer prevention research. The emphasis of his laboratory and clinical research has been on the chemoprevention and treatment of such pervasive and potentially deadly diseases as cancers of the breast, colon, ovary and skin.
Laura F. Huenneke, Northern Arizona University
Dr. Laura Huenneke, PhD, is Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Northern Arizona University. She came to the university as Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and Professor of Biological Sciences in 2003, and then served three years as dean of Engineering & Natural Sciences before becoming Vice President of Research, a post which she held until she became Provost in July 2012.
