Psychosocial Oncology research group
The Psychosocial Oncology research group of the BSSRP is chaired by Karen Weihs, MD, and aims to facilitate the conduct of cancer patient and family/co-survivor research by investigators and aspiring investigators affiliated with The Arizona Cancer Center.

Tobacco use is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States and contributes to at least 14 different types of cancer, multiple vascular diseases, COPD and several other negative health outcomes.
The Tobacco Cessation, Prevention and Policy (TCPP) research group is a statewide collaboration to foster tobacco control research that is transdisciplinary and oriented toward speeding the process of moving research into clinical and community practice.
