Dr. Erickson is the Hosclaw Family Professor of Human Genetics and Inherited Diseases in the Dept of Pediatrics and Molecular and Cellular Biology. A graduate of Stanford Medical School, he performed his residency in pediatrics at Cornell and Albert Einstein Colleges of Medicine. He performed his fellowship in Medical Genetics at UCSF and had postdoc.s in protein chemistry and immunology at NIH and Mill Hill, London, UK. He has been a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Honorary Fellow of Hughes Hall, Univ of Cambridge. His research focuses on genes involved in birth defects. His research on lymphatic development may give clues as to how cancer metastasizes.
