Short Bio: 

Judith S. Gordon, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Arizona. She received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oregon, Eugene. Prior to coming to Arizona, Dr. Gordon was a Senior Scientist at the Oregon Research Institute, Eugene, where she served as Chair of the Board of Directors from 2007-2008.

Dr Gordon’s areas of expertise include public health tobacco cessation interventions delivered in dental and medical settings, web-based self-help tobacco cessation programs and educational programs for healthcare practitioners, and computer-based tobacco prevention programs. She has been the PI or Co-Investigator on tobacco cessation and prevention projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Dr. Gordon has authored and co-authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, and presented widely at national and international scientific conferences. She has served on several proposal review committees and editorial boards, and is currently Chair of the Electronic Communications Committee for the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco.
