Short Bio: 

Our research focuses on understanding how cancer develops on a cellular level, and using that knowledge to develop highly specific and nontoxic treatments for cancer.  My lab uses a variety of molecular and cellular techniques to understand how cancer cells grow, invade and usurp the body’s normal mechanisms for keeping cells under control.   We have used this knowledge to develop peptide-based therapeutics that block tumor-specific interactions without affecting the biology of normal tissues.
