Short Bio: 

Mr. Cromey manages the UACC Cancer Imaging Shared Resource's confocal facility,and the UACC's TACMASR. In addition, he manages the SWEHSC's Cellular Imaging Facility Core, and a Multi-function Light Microscope/Image capture/Image Analysis facility in LSN.

He also maintains the Microscopy Alliance website, a listing of all the publically accessibly microscopy equipment on campus.

Summary of Research Activity: 

Mr. Cromey has 35 years of hands-on experience in microscopy. He has worked at the AHSC for 32 years, starting in the Dept. of Pathology doing research and clinical electron microscopy. He has been in the Dept of Cellular & Molecular Medicine since 1994. He has extensive experience in light and confocal microscopy, as well as image analysis.

Mr. Cromey has a published and spoken at national meetings on guidelines for the ethical manipulation of scientific digital images.
