Short Bio: 

Dr. Prasad completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan in 1999.  He subsequently did a fellowship in Cytopathology and completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota in 2001.  He joined as Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Arizona, Tucson in August 2001.  Dr. Prasad also holds a joint appointment at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System as Clinical Director of Pathology Research and Development.  He has two large grants to his credit, one on human tissue biorepository and the other on genomic initiatives in colon and lung cancer (VA Cancers Project).  He is co-investigator in the AACC GI SPORE program as well as the colon and skin cancer prevention program projects.  Dr. Prasad currently also works as staff pathologist at St. Mary's Hospital Tucson since April 2009.
