At The University of Arizona Cancer Center, we understand that it's easy to get confused or overwhelmed when faced with a diagnosis of cancer. We work hard to make sure our patients and their caregivers receive all the information they want and need about their diagnosis and treatment. We have many educational programs and services to help you feel confident about decisions you make regarding your care.
If your treatment will involve chemotherapy, you will be asked to attend a class on chemotherapy treatment. Your friends and family are welcome to accompany you. You will only have to attend the hour-long class once. The class takes place Monday–Friday at 3 p.m. in the Supportive Care for Healing Living Room at the University of Arizona Cancer Center — North Campus. Call (520) 694-CURE for more information.
Patients and families are invited to learn more about the process of planning a radiation treatment. This hour-long class is intended for patients who are undergoing, will undergo or have completed treatment. This class offers a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to create your custom radiation treatment plan. This class takes place daily at one of our locations. Check the calendar of events to find an upcoming class or call the Radiation Oncology Front Desk at (520) 694-7236 for more information or to RSVP.
