Michael Bookman, MD, Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona and Chief of Hematology-Oncology at The University of Arizona Cancer Center, will be among the presenters at the2012 Ovarian Cancer Survivors Course in Phoenix March 3.
Sponsored by the Foundation for Women’s Cancer, this free, all day event is presented through partnership support from St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, affiliated with the UA Cancer Center.
The program is for all ovarian cancer survivors, friends, family members and others and will be held at Goldman Auditorium at St. Joseph’s Hospital, 350 W. Thomas Road in Phoenix.
Dr. Bookman will discuss progress being made in ovarian cancer. Other topics include screening and early detection, ovarian cancer genetics, clinical trials and future treatments, and diet and nutrition.
