The Arizona Cancer Center invites you to participate in the 12th season of Better Than Ever (BTE), its grassroots outreach program. BTE encourages people to make exercise a part of daily life through running, walking and biking in a fun, non-competitive fitness training program.
Since its inception in 2000, more than 3,300 people of all ages, sizes and abilities have improved their fitness while raising more than $1.7 million, which supports cancer research at the Arizona Cancer Center, with an emphasis on women’s cancers.
Why join BTE?
BTE provides a welcoming, non-competitive atmosphere for participants of all fitness levels to train for local running, walking or cycling events, as well as the information necessary to begin or maintain an active lifestyle.

Run, walk or both!
You are welcome to run or walk with us at your pace. Many of our BTE Team Leaders are experienced with a run/walk training routine. This involves incorporating walk breaks into regular running and allows you to reach distance goals while helping to prevent injury and have fun.
Our cycling program is open to all levels of experience and beginners will be given special attention to ensure a safe, fun riding experience.
Participants are encouraged to train for their choice of one or more of three events and four distances:
Training for the 12th season events begins the week of Sept. 6, though registration continues through Sept. 19.
