Wilma Wildcat with a Better Than Ever medal

The Better Than Ever program teamed up with CATwalk to hold successful 10K and 5K races and a 5K non-competitive walk on Nov. 14. The event brought in more than $80,000 for the Bobbi Olson Fund, which benefits women’s cancers research, education and prevention at the Arizona Cancer Center.

Margaret E. and Fenton L. Maynard

The late Fenton L. Maynard of Phoenix committed a $5 million gift from his estate to the Arizona Cancer Center to create the Margaret E. and Fenton L. Maynard Excellence in Breast Cancer Research Endowment. This is the largest gift for research activities made to the Cancer Center in its 33-year history.
