The 12th annual Sydney E. Salmon, MD, Distinguished Investigator Award lecture will be held Thursday, May 8 at noon in Kiewit Auditorium at the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
Lisa Rimsza, MD, a professor of pathology and associate chair of research at the University of Arizona, is the 2014 Salmon award winner and will present a lecture: From Microscope to Microarray: Toward Precision Medicine for Aggressive B-cell Lymphomas.
The Sydney E. Salmon, MD, Award recognizes UA Cancer Center faculty members for their leadership in cancer research, grant support, publications, community service and clinical responsibilities. It was established to honor and remember Dr. Salmon, the Cancer Center’s founding director, and is presented annually as close as possible to his May 8 birthday.
