NCI renews core grant to support cancer research
The Arizona Cancer Center's "core grant" from the National Cancer Institute, $20.8 million for five years, will support cancer research programs through 2014.
Partners in Survival: Men Supporting Women with Cancer
A workshop taught by men for men to better support a wife/significant other with cancer. The topic is "Partnering for Better Sleep." Two 30-minute women's sessions will run concurrently: 1. Enhancing Communication, with Dr. Karen Weihs, Director of the Psychosocial Oncology Program at the Arizona Cancer Center at UMC North. 2. Nurturing Your Body and Mind, with a taste of Reiki and massage.
